Gospel City iNTRO: Meet Gospel Soldiers, Naija's Agile Three-Man Battalion

Okay, lets be honest...They remind us so much of the biblical Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego...Yeah, we said it. 

Today, Gospel City Naija is delighted to introduce you to this trio who have been shaking up the status quo with their gospel-infused metaphorical ammunition. Based in Port Harcourt, Gospel Soldiers are truly committed to spreading the gospel and taking the war straight into the devil's camp.

They recently performed alongside RoofTopMCs in PH City. We spoke to one of them and deemed it apt to bring them to The City via this iNTRO... 

GOSPEL SOLDIERS is a musical gospel group based in Port Harcourt Nigeria. It was formed in 2005 by four young men; HOPE OJARTOR a.k.a G BARON, JOSHUA NWACHUKWU a.k.a J BURST, EDIDION HENRY JOSEPH a.k.a EDDYJOE  AND DANIEL NWACHUKWU. They all hail from the Niger delta region in Nigeria .

GOSPEL SOLDIERS started from the streets in RUMUOMASI PORT HARCOURT and decided to go big in 2006 when they released their first single titled GOD DEY. This effort earned the group some recognition . They released their debut album REBUILT in 2008.The album had hit singles like God Dey and On my way. They released God dey remix featuring Victor Angel  and the video in 2009. They later went ahead to release the video of their second hit single, On My Way, in 2010, which earned the group lots of air play from local and international media houses. They also won best gospel video at  ODUDU AWARDS that same year.

Currently, Gospel Soldiers are not signed to any music label officially but they are under their self-owned indie label called DA SOLDIERS RECORDS. They are currently working on their second album titled SANITY which is due to be released late 2012. 

Gospel soldiers have a strong desire to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ through their kind of music - HIP HOP. 

 Aside music, they are also engaged in different careers , Eddyjoe is an event planner , Dan2veli and J Burst works in a telecommunication firm , they try to strike a balance between music and work  which is not easy but its fun all the way .
