This saturday, 24th November 2012, House On The Rock (Uyo) was engaged in a special benevolence outreach targeted at members of the Uyo urban Community. Tagged "Culture Shift", the program was a success and is indeed a welcome development in gospel ministry. Young Professionals of the church volunteered their services to members of the public who came out in droves. An official of Gospel City Naija was present at the program.
According to a release by HOTR Uyo's Pastor Nyambi Akpet ," Culture Shift is a platform created to reach out to the deserved among us.We believe as a church that one of our major obligation is to be socially responsible for the communities God has placed us over. In that backdrop we have taken a step to host one of the biggest benevolence outreach in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State"
The services that were rendered include distribution of free food stuff, distribution of clothes and household items, counseling, health talks and free medical services which included HIV test, eye test with free glasses, blood sugar test, blood pressure, hypertensive test, other ailment diagnosis with free drugs given out.
The benefactors were excited as they picked available items and kept thanking God for the benevolence.
