Some weeks back, we got a beep from an artiste that told us that he has an unreleased single he’d want to premier on Gospel City Naija. We got talking and he filled us up on a couple of interesting details. However, he didn’t tell us much about himself till we got to see a picture of him and realized he actually is a veteran rapper that is known to be one of the forefathers of hip hop music in Nigeria.
He used to be known as Kage and was known for his signature du-rags and all the croppings of a secular artiste.
Today, he chooses to be called Ebubedike as he has seemingly delved into doing tracks with gospel undertones and working on Christ-inspired tracks.
Speaking to Gospel City Naiaj, he revealed that he had done a previous track titled “Thank God” and that he wasn’t sure if he was “gonna drop a full length gospel album but…if that’s what God wants, who am I to say no?”
Yes, that fiery rapper is out of the ‘kage’ and today, he is dropping his latest single, “Nara Ekene”, a track carefully produced by another veteran act, OJB Jezreeel.
