Here's a new one from a collective of young vibrant youths widely known as Ararat. The net has been abuzz with their recently released single titled OFEMI, and we just love the attention the track has been getting!
We spoke to one of them some time this week and he let us know that the next step for them is radio airplay. Considerably, their song has soaked into the online music community and its about time it gets its spot on Gospel City Naija and then spread into the airwaves. This is a baptism of sorts 'cos radio stations will be warming up for 'Ofemi' right after this post.
Ararat is a gospel group with youths who are devoted to the growth of the ministry by making positive impact through music.
Their name “ARARAT” was extracted from the Living word of God- Genesis 8 verse 4 which says “Then the ark rested in the seventh month (7), the seventeenth day (17) of the month on mountains of Ararat” which is “a place of rest” and this brought about the generation of a Code from that same scripture (717).
Founded on 3rd Feb 2007, the group is presently working on its first album with songs like Baba nbe funmi, Ofemi, Unu-anula,etc.
The group consist of Larry Emordi, Chino Akor, Tosin Awobokun, Rita Iwunoh, Akanni Temitope, Iyke Charles Julius, Ini Titus and Obinna Eze who have served in quite a number of various church choirs.
ARARAT has over the years enjoyed several enviable platforms alongside with a number of gospel music concerts around Nigeria with indigenous flavour in the songs.
