Sometime last month, we announced the unveiling of our urban gospel entertainment platform called BLESS THA MIC. It was indeed well accepted and the movement got a lot of response from within Africa and abroad.
Last week, we also announced the kick off of the platform with its first-ever cypher held in Port Harcourt. The cypher was recorded and the video will be made available soon. It was indeed a hot session as the very best of Port Harcourt's gospel rappers blessed the studio mic with our cameras rolling.
Due to popular demand, here are some photos from the kick off cipher of BLESS THA MIC held in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Nigeria. The cipher was held in STUDZ RECORDS studio and featured some of Port Harcourt's top gospel rappers namely D.O.P.E, J.Burst (Gospel Soldiers), Goldberg as well as a special guest appearance by eDdyJay.
These artistes were picked from the numerous entries sent in. They held it down for close to 7 hot hours . The video of this cipher will be released soon online as well as on TV stations and programs across Africa, the US, UK and some parts of Asia.
Bless Tha Mic is an urban gospel movement from the stables of Gospel City Naija. The platform encourages gospel rappers, comedians, spoken word poets, DJs and producers by putting up Live Ciphers, open Mic events, mixtapes, documentaries etc. The movement currently has membership from across the globe.
This is supported by DBR Entertainment, Testimony Productions, Gospel Music Naija, Yada Mag, Praizhouse, Praiseworld Radio, Mdevaan, Urban & Gospel (US), Gspotainment, Gospel Naija, Prayzmedia, Modern Ghana.
