Okay..The excitement just begun with this post. We put out word some weeks back about the release of the hottest Naija Gospel Praise Mix series and we've gotten a lot of response from gospel artistes within and outside Nigeria ever since.
Here, we release an appetizing vol 1 featuring some of the best gospel sounds that are quite 'righteously infectious'.
The need to put out this series became necessary after deliberations between our team and that of Africa's #1 street gospel disc jockey, DJ Ernesty. It was also made a reality due to the remarkable testimony of our Chief Admin Officer, Philip Asuquo, after he listened to Dj Ernesty's mix and got lifted by the music.
"My countenance was down one evening and I played through several songs in our collection before getting to DJ Ernesty's Street Gospel Mixx which he sent some days before then. We all know the story of how David used to play some tunes from his lyre for King Saul and how it helped the king find peace and calmness in God. DJ Ernesty is a David of our time and his mix is bound to soothe your worries, troubles, etc.
"With this in view, we resolved to provide a regular dose of his mix right here on Gospel City Naija. Its a series and will cover Nigeria and beyond. Some of the hottest gospel praise songs will be dished out regularly in an amazing mix by our very DJ Ernesty."
Obviously, you are in for a regular thrill. Mr. Philip Asuquo also pointed out that this particular edition of the mix is an appetizer and advised artiste to send in their songs on time in order to be screened and selected for the mix.
"For those artistes who can't find their songs in the mix, if we have it, it will be featured in subsequent editions. This mix will contain some of the top songs that have been featured and that will get featured on our blog. It also contains songs from artistes DJ Ernesty have previously hyped.
