A career in gospel music can be a rewarding endeavor, both financially and creatively. Establishing yourself as a successful gospel artist can take years of perfecting, not only your musical craft but the skill of performing in front of audiences and recording your music. A successful career as a gospel artist, as in any music genre, is a combination of talent, marketing and timing. With hard work and persistence, you can establish yourself in the world of gospel music.

- 1 Associate with other gospel performers. Networking with other gospel musicians can often result in mutually beneficial arrangements. You could find a songwriting partner, someone who has a band that needs a singer or a band looking for someone to write songs. - 4 Market yourself. Build a brand with your name or the name of your group. Leverage the power of social networking and video websites such as YouTube to showcase your videos and music. The Internet offers a doorway to the world, providing musical performers with the ability to reach a wider audience than ever before, with less effort than before.
- 5 Get the services of a professional.When you are ready, get the services of a professional gospel music manager, publicist, or promoter. It is neccessary and gives a great boost to your career/ministry, especially if you pick a good one. If you are lucky, you might get a good professional that can oversee or perform the roles of a manager, promoter,publicist, etc.
